Job summary

Silversea in Bali (Denpasar) is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join a dynamic catering division. You will support the Head Chef in all kitchen operations, from menu planning and food prep to hygiene and quality standards, leading junior staff, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences for clients across Bali.

The role requires strong cooking techniques, HACCP knowledge, and a proactive leadership style in a high-volume environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in catering or hotel settings.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Solid understanding of HACCP and sanitation practices.
• Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef with menu planning, recipe development, and costing.
• Oversee daily food prep and production for consistency and quality.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste reduction.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Support banquet and event kitchen operations as needed.
