Job summary

Batiqa in Karawang, Indonesia is seeking a pastry professional to prepare, bake, and present a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards.

Daily mise en place and production support for restaurant, banquet, and room service, with emphasis on HACCP hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. You will handle inventory and contribute creative pastry ideas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in related industry.
• Vocational High School (SMK) or Diploma in Hospitality / Pastry & Bakery preferred.
• Passionate in pastry, creative, and has good knowledge of baking techniques.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail. Well-groomed, disciplined, and a good team player.
• Willing to work as Daily Worker (DW) and on shifting schedule, weekends, and public holidays.
• Available to join immediately is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and present pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards.
• Daily mise en place and production for restaurant, banquet, and room service.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in accordance with HACCP hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen area and equipment.
• Assist in inventory control, stock rotation (FIFO), and minimizing waste.
• Create and develop new pastry ideas when required.
