THE POSITION

Location: Ubud, Bali

Kopernik is looking for a Partnerships & Business Development Analyst to lead how we host and engage the people who come to see our work. The core of the role is organizing visits for donors, clients, partners, and the public, from bespoke field visits for funders and corporate clients through to our Visit Kopernik! tour program. Around that, the role builds partnerships across the public and private sectors, develops funding proposals, supports our spin-off entities, and contributes to fieldwork and socio-economic research across agriculture, water and sanitation, energy, and health. We're looking for someone who is comfortable running logistics and relationships at the same time, can analyze and communicate data clearly, and can move easily between donors, corporate clients, academics, innovators, local partners, and communities.

As our Partnerships & Business Development Analyst, you'll connect Kopernik's field-proven work with the funders, corporates, and changemakers. If you live at the intersection of social purpose and sharp commercial thinking, let's talk.

This position would be under a fixed term employment contract for 12 months (renewable based on performance result) with the expected remuneration IDR 8,500,000 gross (depending on the experience and qualification of the successful candidate) and other benefits (THR, compensation pay, BPJS, private health insurance and 18 days of leave entitlement).

Responsibilities:

Visit coordination and visitor experience (primary)

  • Plan and run visits for donors, partners, and corporate clients, including itineraries, logistics, scheduling, and on-the-ground accompaniment.
  • Design, develop, and deliver the Visit Kopernik tour program as a repeatable offering, and improve it over time.
  • Host visitors on site and in the field, and interpret between English and Indonesian as needed.
  • Act as the main point of contact for visit logistics, working across teams to make each visit run well.

Fundraising and partnership building

  • Develop new opportunities with public and private sector partners, research institutions, technology developers, academics, and other stakeholders working with underserved communities.
  • Prepare funding and partnership proposals.
  • Cultivate and co-manage client and partner relationships.
  • Research and assess new project opportunities, particularly in agriculture and fisheries; water, sanitation and health; environment, energy and climate; micro-entrepreneurship; and education.
  • Respond promptly to incoming correspondence from local partners, academics, donors, and technology producers.

Fieldwork and research

  • Help design and run activities for internal and external projects.
  • Prepare and conduct interviews with households and businesses.
  • Design and manage socio-economic research in Indonesia and other developing countries.
  • Conduct market research on specific sectors (water, energy, education, housing, agriculture, IT, health).

Data analysis and reporting

  • Collect, clean, and analyze field data.
  • Summarize findings clearly and visually, and propose actionable recommendations.

Other

  • Support Kopernik's emergency response programs.
  • Collaborate with and support other teams as needed.
  • Take on other tasks as required.

Skills and behaviors

  • Strong coordination and logistics skills, with the judgment to host senior visitors and run visits that reflect well on Kopernik.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including proposal writing and client-facing correspondence.
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new partnerships.
  • Solid research and analytical skills, with experience in socio-economic or market research.
  • Ability to collect, clean, interpret, and present data clearly and visually.
  • Project and budget management, delivering accurate work on time.
  • Comfort with fieldwork, including household and business interviews and accompanying clients on site.
  • Adaptability and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-moving, mission-driven setting.
  • Ability to work across multiple sectors (agriculture, energy, water, health, education).
  • Fluency in Indonesian and English.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Social Sciences or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in partnerships, business development, events or visitor coordination, or research.
  • Experience hosting or coordinating visitors, events, or delegations is a strong advantage.
