Job summary

Kanara is seeking a Procurement Specialist Packaging Materials & Raw Materials to manage packaging sourcing end-to-end. You will coordinate with Product Development, R&D, Supply Chain, and external packaging suppliers to ensure timely availability, quality, and competitive costs across Kanara’s brands.

You will handle supplier negotiation, quotation analysis, and purchase orders, with a focus on packaging specs, lead times, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering).
• 1–2 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing experience; packaging materials preferred.
• Experience in FMCG/consumer goods or related industries preferred.
• Hands-on with packaging materials (bottles, tubes, jars, caps, etc.).
• Strong procurement process knowledge: requisition, sourcing, PO, delivery.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day procurement and purchasing for packaging materials.
• Review requirements to ensure specs, quantities, dates are complete.
• Source and compare packaging suppliers based on price, quality, lead time.
• Request quotations and prepare price comparisons for supplier selection.
• Negotiate terms: pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, tooling and printing costs.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow approvals.
• Monitor procurement from PO to delivery and ensure budget alignment.
• Coordinate with internal teams for packaging specs, demand, and timelines.
• Maintain supplier information and monitor performance.
• Support supplier evaluations and continuous improvement.
