Job summary

Bobobox is seeking an Operational Manager to ensure consistent, efficient operations across Indonesia’s cabin properties. You will translate strategies into practical SOPs, lead teams, and drive data-driven decisions to enhance guest experiences.

You will oversee revenue optimization for group bookings, vendor relations, and cross-functional collaboration to sustain growth and quality across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a top university, preferably with hospitality focus.
  • Minimum 3 years in hotel operation role.
  • Minimum 3 years managing multiple hotels as hotel manager or equivalent.
  • Willing to work at any branch locations across Indonesia with potential relocations.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience with PMS/HMS and POS software.
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizing and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in numbers, analytics, and data-driven decisions.
  • Results-driven with strong communication.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Familiar with KPIs, SOPs and policy development.
  • Experience in product and service quality improvements.
  • Operational excellence and quality assurance focus.
  • Experience in coaching and training delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize revenue from group bookings with sales & partnerships teams across preparation, pre-arrival, arrival, and post-arrival stages.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and local community.
  • Collaborate with Market Validation to monitor demand, competitors, customer insights, and external factors; propose actions.
  • Maximize upselling and cross-selling (add-ons, experiences, ancillary revenue).
  • Collaborate with Special Project team to create revenue sources with affiliates/new markets.
  • Monitor, analyze and propose actions to prevent operational cost leakage.
  • Coordinate with local vendors to optimize costs.
  • Maintain service consistency and SOP adherence.
  • Minimize complaint ratio.
  • Maintain assets through preventive maintenance rather than reactive repairs.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, partners, and local communities.
  • Ensure manpower planning and effective shift management.
  • Provide structured coaching to the team.
  • Maintain discipline, productivity and operational stability.
  • Create weekly performance and progress reports.

Job description

The Operational Manager at Bobobox plays a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent, efficient, and high‑quality execution of day‑to‑day operations across our cabin properties. This role is responsible for translating strategic goals into seamless operational practices, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational excellence through data‑driven decisions, people leadership, and continuous improvement. Candidates must be willing to work at any of our branch locations across Indonesia. This may involve periodic transfers or relocations based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize revenue of group booking by collaborating with the sales & strategic partnership team to organize group booking from preparation, pre‑arrival, on‑arrival, and post‑arrival.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and local community.
  • Collaborate with the Market Validation team to monitor and analyze market demand, competitor set, customer insights, and external factors of the site and propose preventive/corrective action.
  • Maximize up‑selling & cross‑selling (add‑ons, experiences, ancillary revenue).
  • Collaborate with the Special Project team to create another source of revenue by engaging affiliates and exploring new markets/channels.
  • Monitor, analyze, and propose initiatives to prevent operational cost leakage.
  • Coordinate with local vendors to optimize cost.
  • Maintain service consistency and SOP.
  • Minimize complaint ratio.
  • Maintain assets by maximizing preventive maintenance rather than corrective maintenance.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including the landlord, partners, and local people in the surrounding area.
  • Ensure effective manpower planning and shift management.
  • Provide structured coaching to the team.
  • Maintain team discipline, productivity, and operational stability.
  • Create a weekly performance report (data‑oriented) and program/initiative progress report.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a top university, preferably with a hospitality background.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel operation role.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple hotels as hotel manager or equivalent role.
  • Candidates must be willing to work at any of our branch locations across Indonesia. This may involve periodic transfers or relocations based on organizational needs.
  • Fluent in English verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with Property/Hotel Management System (PMS/HMS) and Point of Sales (POS) software.
  • Experience with Google Workspace (G Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizing, planning, and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in numbers, analyzing data, and using analytics to make decisions.
  • Results‑driven with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent adaptability to fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiar with setting up and maintaining KPIs.
