Job summary

PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. is offering an Operations Internship in Karawang, West Java. The 6‑month program invites undergraduates to observe and map DH and MP&S workflows, review data governance, and develop trackers and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely data input, identify gaps, and propose data‑driven improvements while documenting standard work and processes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students in 7th/8th semester with GPA ≥3.00 (4.00 scale).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Power BI/Power Query or data visualization is a plus.
• Good analytical thinking and ability to work with data.
• Able to structure information into clear reports, dashboards, or summaries.

Responsibilities

• Observe and map current DH and MP&S workflows.
• Review data, files, reports, and governance routines.
• Identify gaps in data accuracy and reporting flow.
• Develop trackers and dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
• Support data cleansing, consolidation, and standardization of reporting formats.
• Prepare governance materials and follow-up monitoring.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for timely data input and escalation.
• Suggest simple improvements to reduce manual work.
• Document standard work and processes.
• Support priorities during the 6‑month internship.

We are seeking bright university students to join our Operations Internship Program. You will be part of a team where you can develop and improve yourself, also make an impact by providing solution in a specific internship project.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Conduct observation and mapping of current DH and MP&S working processes.
• Review existing data, files, reports, trackers, and governance routines.
• Identify gaps in data accuracy, reporting flow, follow-up discipline, and process visibility.
• Support improvement of planning, monitoring, and reporting tools.
• Develop structured trackers, dashboards, or summary reports using Excel, Power BI, or other approved tools.
• Support data cleansing, data consolidation, and standardization of reporting formats.
• Assist in preparing routine governance materials, meeting updates, and action follow-up monitoring.
• Support coordination with related stakeholders to ensure timely data input and issue escalation.
• Propose simple improvement initiatives to reduce manual work, duplication, or unclear process handover.
• Document standard work, working instructions, or process flow where required.
• Support DH and MP&S priorities based on business needs during the 6-month assignment.

Who We’re Looking For

• Undergraduate students, preferably in 7th or 8th semester with minimum GPA 3.00 out of 4.00 from Industrial Engineering, Management, Supply Chain, Business, Data, Engineering, or related background.
• Strong capability in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Capability in Power BI, Power Query, PowerPoint, or data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Good analytical thinking and ability to work with data.
• Able to structure information into clear reports, dashboards, or summaries.
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable working with routine tracking activities.
• Good communication skills and able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, independent, and willing to explore available data before escalating.
• Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Interested in planning, governance, performance monitoring, and operational improvement.
• Able to document process flow, working instruction, and improvement results clearly.
• The apprentice is expected to work closely with DH and MP&S teams, support daily operational needs, and contribute to improvement initiatives with a structured and data-driven approach.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

• Location: Karawang, West Java, Indonesia
• Duration: 6 months
