Job summary

Maju Operations and Development is seeking an experienced Operational Manager for its Central Lombok site in West Nusa Tenggara. This contract role requires on‑site leadership to drive service excellence, quality standards and continuous improvement across front office, housekeeping, F&B and maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in hospitality operations, strong people leadership, budgeting and revenue optimisation skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager to join our team in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and guest satisfaction. As Operational Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of our hospitality operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, maintaining high operational standards, and driving continuous improvement across all departments. This role is pivotal to the success of our property and will require you to work on-site at our Central Lombok location.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operational departments including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations
• Monitor operational performance against key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to meet targets
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all areas of the operation
• Manage budgeting, cost control and revenue optimisation strategies to maximise profitability
• Lead, train, motivate and supervise operational staff, fostering a positive team culture and professional development
• Maintain high standards of guest service and satisfaction by addressing complaints and implementing improvements
• Liaise with senior management and stakeholders regarding operational performance and strategic initiatives
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, capital improvements and facility upkeep to maintain property standards
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure value for money
• Implement operational policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistency and efficiency

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of operational management experience in a hospitality or tourism environment
• Proven track record of successfully managing multi-departmental operations and teams
• Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance functions
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs and drive revenue optimisation
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; additional language skills are advantageous
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards relevant to hospitality operations
• Experience with hospitality management systems and technology platformsFlexibility and willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Familiarity with the Indonesian hospitality market and local operational requirements is preferred
