PT Perusahaan Tambang Nusantara is seeking an experienced Fleet & Operations Manager to lead Tug & Barge dispatch, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance in Jakarta. You will coordinate with port authorities, oversee cost control, and manage crewing and safety programs for 24/7 operations.
The role requires strong leadership, deep maritime knowledge, and the ability to optimize vessel movements and maintenance to minimize downtime. A regional travel component may be involved.
Fleet & Voyage Management: Oversee daily tug & barge dispatch, loading/discharging, route optimization, and coordinate with port authorities/Syahbandar for smooth port clearance and SPB approvals.
Maintenance & Docking: Execute preventive maintenance, manage dry-docking repairs with shipyards, and handle technical troubleshooting to minimize vessel downtime.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure fleet seaworthiness and compliance with BKI rules, Ministry of Transportation regulations, ISM Code, and HSE standards.
Cost & Supply Control: Audit fuel (bunkering) usage, manage OpEx, and coordinate with procurement for spare parts, lube oil, and vessel supplies.
Crew & Client Coordination: Work with crewing for proper manning/STCW certifications, serve as key contact for charterers/clients, and report performance to executive leadership.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies/Engineering or hold ANT-I/II or ATT-I/II certification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Tug & Barge operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of BKI classification, Syahbandar/port clearance, dry-docking, and vessel maintenance.
Experienced in bulk cargo barging (coal, nickel, minerals) and transshipment operations.
Good network with port authorities, harbormasters, shipping agents, and shipyards.
Hands-on experience with vessel tracking (AIS), fuel auditing, and marine incident management.
Strong leadership and cost-control skills; basic working English is sufficient.
Willing to travel to remote sites/ports and handle 24/7 on-call operational needs.
