Job summary

PT Perusahaan Tambang Nusantara is seeking an experienced Fleet & Operations Manager to lead Tug & Barge dispatch, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance in Jakarta. You will coordinate with port authorities, oversee cost control, and manage crewing and safety programs for 24/7 operations.

The role requires strong leadership, deep maritime knowledge, and the ability to optimize vessel movements and maintenance to minimize downtime. A regional travel component may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or Engineering.
• ANT-I/II or ATT-I/II certification.
• Minimum 5 years in Tug & Barge operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of BKI classification and port clearance.
• Experience with bulk cargo barging and transshipment.
• Excellent network with port authorities, harbormasters, shipping agents, and shipyards.
• Hands-on experience with AIS tracking, fuel auditing, and incident management.
• Strong leadership and cost-control skills; basic working English is sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Tug & Barge dispatch, loading, and route coordination.
• Coordinate with Syahbandar for port clearance and SPB approvals.
• Direct preventive maintenance and dry-docking with shipyards.
• Ensure ISM, MOT regulations, and HSE compliance.
• Audit fuel usage and manage OpEx; coordinate spare parts procurement.
• Lead crewing, certify STCW, and liaise with charterers.
