Job summary

MatchaTalent is recruiting a Procurement Coordinator to support end-to-end procurement for a major mining project in Papua New Guinea. The role requires coordinating requisitions, supplier quotes, and purchase orders while enforcing governance and budget compliance.

You will work closely with operations, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure uninterrupted supply and timely deliveries. Strong English, ERP experience, and 3–5 years in procurement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in procurement or related field; mining/industrial background preferred.
• 3–5 years procurement experience in mining, construction, heavy industry, or operational environments.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office; strong commercial and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the complete procurement lifecycle from requisition through PO issuance, delivery, receipt and close-out.
• Review requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
• Source quotations from approved suppliers and conduct market comparisons for value.
• Support negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules and terms with suppliers.
• Raise, manage, and monitor Purchase Orders in ERP and procurement systems.
• Track supplier progress and expedite critical procurement activities.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, qualification, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance to support replenishment and audits.
