Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to support end-to-end procurement for a major mining project in Papua New Guinea. You will coordinate requisitions, quotes, and purchase orders while ensuring compliance with budgets and governance standards.

You will work on-site with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure uninterrupted supply, effective supplier coordination, and timely delivery in a remote mining environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes and governance.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from requisition to close-out.
• Review requisitions for completeness and policy compliance.
• Source competitive quotes and perform market comparisons.
• Support commercial negotiations on price, delivery, and terms.
• Raise and track Purchase Orders in ERP and procurement systems.
• Monitor supplier progress and expedite critical procurement activities.
• Coordinate logistics, including shipping, customs documentation, and import coordination.
• Maintain procurement records and assist audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and cost efficiency.
