Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to manage end-to-end procurement for a major mining project in Papua New Guinea. You will work closely with operations, logistics, warehouse, and finance to ensure timely sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods, equipment, and services.

The role requires coordinating supplier onboarding, qualification, and performance monitoring, while maintaining governance and budget alignment in a fast-paced, remote mining environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of procurement experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and governance.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complete procurement lifecycle from requisition to close-out.
• Review requisitions for completeness and policy compliance.
• Source quotations and conduct market comparisons for value for money.
• Support negotiations on pricing, delivery, and terms with suppliers.
• Raise and monitor Purchase Orders using ERP systems.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, finance to ensure uninterrupted supply.
