Job summary

PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk is seeking an Olefin & BD Mechanical Rotating Engineer for our Site Office in Cilegon. You will monitor rotating equipment maintenance, plan projects, and drive root-cause analysis to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

The role requires 2–3 years in rotating equipment, strong troubleshooting, and fluency in English. Collaboration with operations and vendors, plus adherence to API/ASME standards, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–3 years of rotating equipment maintenance experience in Petrochemical/Oil & Gas/Refinery industries
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of vibration analysis, alignment and RCA is an advantage
• Proficient in interpreting equipment manuals, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure engineering field activities follow work instructions and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain production
• Plan, design, and supervise engineering projects to ensure timely, high-quality execution
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems by determining root causes and proposing effective solutions within budget
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and services while ensuring standards
• Manage and optimize budget, materials, and tools for cost-effective maintenance
• Enforce safety protocols and foster teamwork among employees
• Implement and enforce safe work practices in engineering activities

Responsibility :

• Monitor and ensure engineering field activities follow the work instructions and procedures correctly to enhance operational efficiency and maintain smooth production processes.
• Plan, design, and supervise engineering projects to ensure timely and high‑quality execution according to established standards.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems by determining root causes and proposing effective solutions within the designated budget.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and services while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Manage and optimize the use of budget, materials, and tools for cost‑effective maintenance and engineering activities.
• Ensure a safe and productive work environment by enforcing safety protocols, providing training, and fostering teamwork among employees
• Implement and enforce safe work practices in all engineering activities to align with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements :

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Have 2 - 3 years experience handling rotating equiment maintenance in Petrochemical/ Oil & Gas/ Refinary Industries.
• Strong knowledge in rotating equipment troubleshooting, vibration analysis, alignment, and condition monitoring is an advantages
• Proficient in interpreting equipment manuals, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures is an advantages
• Able to perform root cause analysis (RCA) for rotating equipment failures.
• Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), SAP and API/ASME standards is an advantages
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with operations, reliability, and other maintenance disciplines.
• Able to work under pressure and respond quickly during plant emergencies.
• Team player with initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written

This position will be placed at Site Office Cilegon
