MatchaTalent is seeking an Ocean Freight Sales Assistant Manager to drive business development in Indonesia, focusing on Mandarin-speaking clients and China–Indonesia trade lanes. You will lead strategic hunting, tender management, and pricing simulations while building strong B2B relationships.

The role requires coordinating with local operations, regional teams, and international customers to ensure high-quality logistics service delivery and successful tender outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct sales or business development in freight forwarding or ocean freight.
• Experience selling logistics and supply chain solutions in a B2B environment.
• Currently at supervisor or assistant manager level.
• English fluency required; Mandarin proficiency preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new B2B customers in Ocean Freight and Logistics.
• Manage and grow relationships with Mandarin-speaking clients and strategic accounts.
• Conduct pricing simulations and manage tender processes.
• Develop tailored logistics and freight forwarding solutions based on customer needs.
• Coordinate export/import shipping activities and documentation processes.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and trade requirements.
• Collaborate with internal operations and regional teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Support customer meetings, negotiations, and business presentations.
