Job summary

Innovation Factory Indonesia is seeking an experienced Plant Manager for a coal-fired power facility in Batam. You will lead daily operations, oversee steam turbines and boilers, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors and maintenance teams to optimize reliability and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in CFPP with 3–5 years in leadership, fluent English (Mandarin a plus), strong crisis management and budget tracking skills, and a track record of delivering projects from

• Minimum 10 years experience in Coal-Fired Power Plant (CFPP).
• 3–5 years in direct management or leadership role.
• Experience with Project to O&M phase of CFPP.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and optimize core plant efficiency metrics. Implement remedial actions for deviations from design parameters.
• Oversee daily generation, startup, shutdown, and efficiency of large-capacity steam turbines, boilers (including supercritical systems), and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs using CMMS. Manage major unit outages and overhauls.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Prepare and control operational and capital expenditure budgets, resource allocation, and inventory.
• Supervise 3rd-party vendors, equipment suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to safety and performance terms.

Job description

Requirements:

• Experience with large-capacity CFPP.


• Fluent in English. Able to speak Mandarin will be an advantage.
