Job summary

Eterna Indonesia is seeking an experienced Network Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade LAN/WAN, VPN, and SD-WAN for U.S.-based clients in a remote-first setup.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of enterprise networking experience, strong routing/switching skills, and knowledge of firewall design, with certifications a plus. Night shifts aligned to U.S. business hours are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall design.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and network protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
• Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for technical communication.
• Willingness to work night shift aligned to U.S. business hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure routing, switching, VLANs, and network segmentation.
• Implement and manage BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and other routing protocols.
• Design and maintain firewall rules, ACLs, and security policies.
• Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions for distributed environments.
• Implement VPN solutions (site-to-site, remote access, SSL VPN).
• Perform network monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Implement zero-trust network segmentation and security controls.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Document network architecture, configurations, and change procedures.
• Collaborate with security teams on network security initiatives.

We are currently hiring an experienced Network Engineer / Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure for our U.S.-based clients.

About the Role

You'll design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and VPN solutions for U.S. clients in a fully remote setup with night shift hours (Indonesian time). This role requires deep networking expertise and the ability to architect scalable, secure network solutions that meet enterprise requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure routing, switching, VLANs, and network segmentation

Requirements (Must-have)

• 3+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall design
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and network protocols
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, or similar)
• Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for technical communication
• Willingness to work night shift (Indonesian time) aligned to U.S. business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNA (current track) or equivalent experience
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or CCNP Data Center
• Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP certifications
• Fortinet NSE or Palo Alto Networks PCNSA/PCNSE certifications
• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, GCP VPC)
• Experience with wireless network design and deployment
• Understanding of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and security frameworks
• Prior experience with U.S.-based enterprise clients
