Job summary

Pt Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara is seeking a Molecular Analyst in Indonesia to perform diverse molecular biology workflows, from nucleic acid extraction to sequencing. The role requires precise documentation, meticulous sample handling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will work with standard lab instruments, ensure safety compliance, and contribute to assay development and validation. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related field.
• 1+ year of hands-on molecular biology lab experience, preferably in industry or research.
• Strong understanding of molecular biology principles and techniques.
• Experience with DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and gel electrophoresis.
• Experience with sequencing (Sanger/NGS) is a plus.
• Good English and Bahasa Indonesia communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and sequencing.
• Prepare and analyze samples, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and storage protocols are followed.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including thermal cyclers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and genetic analyzers.
• Document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately and thoroughly in laboratory notebooks and databases.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation, drawing conclusions and preparing reports.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize experimental protocols as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Stay updated on new molecular biology techniques and technologies.
• Assist in the development and validation of new molecular assays.

Job Qualifications

• Experience with sequencing technologies (e.g., Sanger, NGS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
