PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya (AMJ) seeks a diligent accounting professional to manage financial records, reconciliations, and reporting for mining operations in Indonesia. The role includes accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and audit readiness, with a focus on accuracy and internal controls.

The candidate will support budgeting, variance analysis, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with finance teams and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate financial deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within the mining or extractive industries.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and analyse financial spreadsheets.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles, GAAP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Knowledge of mining industry-specific accounting practices, including asset capitalisation and depreciation in extractive industries.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when handling large volumes of financial data.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with Indonesian tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications (such as Indonesian Certified Public Accountant or equivalent) are preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger accounts, and financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile cash accounts, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment authorisation, and collection follow-up.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholder review.
• Support budget development and variance analysis to monitor financial performance against projections.
• Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate employee compensation and tax withholding in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain and organise financial documentation and ensure proper filing systems for audit purposes.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for audit procedures.
• Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax documentation and filing requirements specific to mining operations.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and internal controls.
