Job summary

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a Mining Engineer to support Senior Mining Engineers in delivering mining studies, technical assessments, and project work in Jakarta.

You will provide data collection, drafting, design activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across local and global mining projects. The role requires 4–8 years in mining with exposure to underground or surface operations, and proficiency in Deswik, Vulcan, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining.
• 4–8 years of mining experience; 2–3 years in consulting preferred.
• Experience in underground or surface mining (coal and minerals).
• Professional certifications such as JORC, SNI, POM, or POU are advantageous.
• Proficiency in Deswik, Vulcan and AutoCAD.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Mining Engineers in the delivery of mining studies, technical assessments, project work, and proposal preparation.
• Provide technical and engineering support to local and global mining projects, including data collection, data validation, drafting, and design activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, during study phases and project execution.
• Perform engineering calculations, data analysis, and technical evaluations under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare drawings, technical reports, presentations, and project documentation in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Ensure assigned work is completed in compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards
• Participate in site visits, field inspections, and operational reviews to support project activities and gain practical mining experience.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, technical documentation, and other project deliverables as required.
