Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Hydrology Engineer in Indonesia to lead hydrological assessments for mining infrastructure. You will conduct catchment analyses, assess rainfall runoff, and develop models for stormwater and detention systems.

Collaboration with civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineers will drive integrated water management across projects. The role requires 8–12+ years’ experience, proficiency with HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS and GIS tools, and strong English communication to support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 8–12+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in mining infrastructure or large projects is highly preferred.
Proven experience with rainfall analysis, stormwater, and catchment studies.

Responsibilities

Perform and/or review hydrological assessments for mining infrastructure.
Conduct catchment analysis and identify drainage paths and flood areas.
Assess rainfall runoff, determine peak flow, and design criteria.
Develop and review hydrological models for stormwater and detention ponds.
Review drainage strategies to minimize flooding and erosion risks.
Provide input on culverts, open channels, and flood management structures.
Coordinate with multiple engineering teams to develop integrated water solutions.
Support design reviews, constructability checks, and technical queries related to hydrology.
