Job summary

Ayana Hospitality in Bali invites a proactive Sales Specialist for Wedding, MICE and events to join our leadership team. You will create and execute sales activities, proactively target Japanese markets, and promote the hotels’ event spaces to drive revenue across events, restaurants and bars.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hospitality sales, fluent Japanese with N2, strong English, proven target achievement, and leadership in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in hospitality sales or related field.
• Fluent in Japanese with a certified test (N2 or higher).
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Proven track record of achieving targets in sales or events.
• Team player with leadership and customer-service orientation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement sales in operational activities for Wedding, MICE and events business
• Proactively target Wedding and MICE opportunities, especially Japanese markets
• Proactively sell the hotels’ event spaces and drive Rooms and F&B revenue into the event, restaurant, and bar areas
• Plan, lead and execute all Japanese MICE & Wedding events, ensuring all operational processes and procedures are adhered to
• Establish local partnerships and co-operations to promote accommodation and events
• Establish business and market share for Wedding, MICE and special events business
• Establish and maintain relationships with assigned MICE agencies

• Minimum 2 years experience in the same position or related fields in the hospitality industry
• Fluent in Japanese, with a certified language test (minimum N2)
• Eloquent in English communication in both written and spoken
• Proven track of achieving targets, has strong organizational and time management skills
• A team player with leadership skills with customer-service orientation
• Exceptional communication, negotiation ability, and interpersonal skills
