Job summary

PT JOYRUN TECH INDONESIA is seeking an MEP Project Manager to lead on-site construction and delivery for data center MEP installations across Jakarta, Bekasi, and Cikarang. The role requires a strong management background and fluency in English or Mandarin to coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/MEP engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in MEP installation projects, preferably data centers or large-scale MEP projects.
• Able to read and interpret MEP drawings, SLDs and equipment layouts.
• Experience in on-site construction management and schedule control.
• Familiar with QA/QC, HSE, PTW, and on-site safety procedures.
• Knowledge of Indonesian construction regulations; SKK Konstruksi or K3 preferred.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with good English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience with international data center projects or Chinese GC collaboration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for on-site construction management and project delivery of MEP works.
• Manage installation of electrical systems: switchgear, transformers, UPS, busducts, cables, grounding.
• Oversee HVAC installation: chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, piping.
• Coordinate equipment delivery, unloading, installation, and site coordination.
• Develop construction schedules and coordinate engineers, teams, materials, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical docs; resolve issues on-site.
• Supervise QA/QC, HSE, PTW and site inspections for compliance.
• Maintain communication with clients, main contractors, design consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, CX testing, and commissioning; oversee handover docs.

Job Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the construction organization, on-site management, and project delivery of data center MEP installation works.

Manage the installation of data center electrical systems, including high- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, busducts, cable trays, power cables, and grounding systems.

Manage HVAC system installation, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, precision air conditioning units, chilled water piping, and related mechanical equipment.

Oversee equipment delivery, unloading, lifting, positioning, installation, and on-site construction coordination.

Develop construction schedules and coordinate engineers, construction teams, materials, machinery, and subcontractor resources.

Review construction drawings, Shop Drawings, Method Statements, and related technical documents, and resolve on-site technical issues.

Supervise construction quality, HSE safety management, site inspections, and acceptance procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.

Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients, general contractors, design consultants, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors.

Coordinate pre-commissioning activities, Cx1–Cx5 testing and commissioning, and equipment installation acceptance.

Prepare project progress reports, manage Punch List rectifications, and oversee As-built Drawings and final handover documentation.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP installation projects, preferably involving data centers or large-scale industrial MEP projects.

Familiar with installation procedures, construction processes, and quality standards for data center electrical and HVAC systems.

Able to independently read and interpret MEP construction drawings, SingleLineDiagrams (SLD), equipment layout drawings, and related technical documents.

Experienced in on-site construction management, installation schedule control, subcontractor coordination, and team management.

Familiar with QA/QC, HSE, Permit to Work (PTW), and on-site construction safety management procedures.

Knowledge of Indonesian construction regulations and project requirements. Candidates holding SKK Konstruksi or K3-related certifications will be preferred.

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with good English communication skills. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Experience working on international data center projects or collaborating with Chinese general contractors is preferred.

Willing to work on project sites and travel within Indonesia when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience participating in data center MEP installation projects with a capacity of 10MW or above.

Experience managing large-scale MEP installation subcontractors and construction teams.

Strong knowledge of high- and low-voltage power distribution systems, UPS, busducts, and large-scale HVAC equipment installation.

Experience in data center installation, comissioning, and project handover.

Familiarity with the construction market and local subcontractor networks in Bekasi and Cikarang.
