Job summary

Dwimitra Listenlights is seeking an MEP Drafter to create and update drawings for construction projects. You will develop layouts, shop and as-built drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and ensure coordination with architectural and structural teams.

You will review specs, apply drafting standards, and maintain records while addressing site changes and consultant feedback. English proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience as an MEP Drafter in construction, MEP contracting, or engineering projects.
• Data Center or large-scale MEP project experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/BIM an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, technical specs, and engineering documents.
• Fluency in English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop MEP drawings, including layout, shop and as-built drawings.
• Produce drawings for HVAC, ventilation, piping, drainage, MV/LV power, UPS, generators, grounding, lighting, and plumbing.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings to resolve clashes.
• Revise and update drawings based on changes, site conditions and consultant comments.
• Assist engineers in preparing shop and coordination drawings and construction documentation.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site changes and installation conditions.
• Maintain documentation, revision histories, and drawing records; ensure schedule compliance.

Role Description

The MEP Drafter will be responsible for preparing, developing, and updating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for construction projects. This role ensures that MEP drawings are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements.

Job Description

Prepare and develop MEP drawings, including layout plans, shop drawings, detailed drawings, and as-built drawings. Produce drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, including HVAC, ventilation, piping, drainage, MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, grounding, lighting, and plumbing systems. Review design drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate drafting and detailing. Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other discipline drawings to identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies. Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes, site conditions, consultant comments, and project requirements. Assist engineers and project teams in preparing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and construction documentation. Prepare as-built drawings based on approved site changes and actual installation conditions. Ensure drawings comply with approved design documents, drafting standards, and applicable codes and regulations. Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders regarding drawing requirements and revisions. Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, revision histories, and drawing records. Support the project team in resolving technical and drawing-related issues during construction. Ensure all drawings are completed accurately and submitted according to project schedules and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline. Proven experience as an MEP Drafter within construction, MEP contracting, or engineering projects. Experience in Data Center or large-scale MEP projects is highly preferred. Strong proficiency in Auto CAD and familiarity with Revit/BIM is an advantage. Good understanding of MEP systems, construction drawings, shop drawings, and drafting standards. Ability to read and interpret MEP design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings. Good understanding of drawing coordination and clash detection. Ability to work under project deadlines and manage multiple drawing revisions. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is preferred.
