Job summary

Esco Lifesciences Group in Singapore area seeks a Mechanical Engineer to prepare and manage mechanical documents for tenders, submissions and compliance, and to create updated 3D drawings in SolidWorks. You will develop a BOM, source components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify designs.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, is proficient in SolidWorks, knowledgeable in GD&T, and has 1–2 years of experience designing mechanical

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; experience with AutoCAD and other CAD/CAM software is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies.
• Strong GD&T knowledge, including stack-up and optimization.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, CFD, and processes like injection molding, die-casting, machining.
• Basic knowledge of P&ID and Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all mechanical documents required for contract tenders, submissions, and compliance.
• Customize designs based on standard units and create updated 3D drawings in SolidWorks.
• Develop and manage an accurate Mechanical BOM within target costs, coordinating with other engineers.
• Identify suitable standard parts and source new components with warehouse and purchasing teams.
• Fulfill technical product requirements, such as test protocols, calculations, and supplier drawings, until installation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and verify designs, addressing potential risks.
• Ensure customized units meet standards through testing, and update 3D drawings for future reference.
• Provide operation and maintenance details by preparing user manuals in coordination with the documentation team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage all mechanical documents required for contract tenders, submissions, and compliance, including general arrangement drawings, pre-sales drawings, and URS compliance.
• Customize designs based on standard units and create updated 3D drawings in SolidWorks™.
• Develop and manage an accurate Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) within target costs, coordinating with other engineers.
• Identify suitable standard parts and source new components in coordination with the warehouse and purchasing team.
• Fulfill technical product requirements, such as test protocols, calculations, and supplier drawings, until installation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and verify designs, addressing potential risks.
• Ensure customized units meet standards through testing, and update 3D drawings for future reference.
• Provide operation and maintenance details by preparing user manuals in coordination with the documentation team.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Design.
• Proficient in SolidWorks™; experience with AutoCAD, and other 2D/3D CAD/CAM software is a plus.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies.
• Skilled in creating parts, multi-component assemblies, and dimensioned drawings to company standards.
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), including stack-up and optimization.
• Knowledge of materials, sheet metal fabrication (cutting, welding), CFD, and processes like injection molding, die-casting, and machining.
• Basic knowledge of P&ID and Electrical.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
