Job summary

BYD Auto Co., Ltd. in Subang, Indonesia, is seeking a Measurement Technician (Metrology/Calibration) to measure and verify product dimensions and specifications against engineering blueprints and standards.

You will oversee tools and instrumentation calibration, record-keeping, and data analysis, collaborating with the Quality team to address any deviations and ensure compliance with metrology and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Measurement & Control Technology, Quality Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in precision dimensional measurement, gauge calibration, or metrology lab operations in a manufacturing plant.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Proficiency in reading 2D/3D technical drawings (GD&T).
• Proficiency in operating precision measurement instruments (CMM, micrometers, calipers, projectors).

Responsibilities

• Measure and test product dimensions, technical specifications, and related parameters against engineering blueprints and inspection standards to ensure precision and data accuracy.
• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of measuring tools and test equipment; manage calibration cycles, gauge inspections, and calibration ledger records.
• Organize, compile, and record measurement data into statistical inspection reports, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
• Provide prompt feedback when measurements deviate or fail to meet tolerances; assist and collaborate with the Quality team in defect analysis and corrective action implementations.
• Strictly comply with metrology management rules, quality system standards, and safe operating guidelines.
