Job summary

PT BYD AUTO INDONESIA is seeking a Measurement Technician to oversee metrology operations, calibrate tools, and maintain calibration ledgers in a manufacturing setting. You will measure product dimensions, ensure tolerance conformity, and generate statistical inspection reports to support quality assurance.

The role requires 3-5 years' hands-on metrology experience, proficiency with GD&T, and strong English; Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Measurement & Control Technology, Quality Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in precision dimensional measurement, gauge calibration, or metrology lab operations in a manufacturing plant.
• Advanced English
• Proficiency in reading 2D/3D technical drawings (GD&T)
• Proficiency in operating precision measurement instruments (CMM, micrometers, calipers, projectors)
• Mandarin communication capability is preferred

Responsibilities

• Measure and test product dimensions, technical specifications, and related parameters against engineering blueprints and inspection standards to ensure precision and data accuracy
• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of measuring tools and test equipment
• Manage calibration cycles, gauge inspections, and calibration ledger records to ensure all instruments remain within their valid service life
• Organize, compile, and record measurement data into statistical inspection reports, ensuring complete and accurate documentation
• Provide prompt feedback when measurements deviate or fail to meet tolerances
• Assist and collaborate with the Quality team in defect analysis, abnormality handling, and corrective action implementations
• Strictly comply with metrology management rules, quality system standards, and safe operating guidelines
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by leadership

About you
