BYD Auto Co., Ltd. through its Indonesian arm seeks a Field Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, design jigs and fixtures, and drive continuous improvement in production areas. You will verify new materials and processes, manage trial assemblies, and lead Kaizen initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years of on-site manufacturing experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and advanced English and Chinese. You will train operators, draft SOPs, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of on-site field engineering, process support, or production line technical management in manufacturing.
• Advanced English and Advanced Chinese language proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Handle and optimize manufacturing processes in production areas, ensuring line operators strictly follow Work Instructions (SOPs).
• Design jigs, fixtures, and required production aids; resolve on-site technical bottlenecks and quality issues promptly.
• Complete verification for new raw materials and new processes, and organize/execute trial assembly plans.
• Drive monthly Kaizen improvement proposals, analyze outcomes, and boost workshop efficiency and workforce productivity.
• Train and mentor local operators and technicians on core skills, develop training materials, and conduct evaluations.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, production records, and continuous improvement documentation.
• Perform root-cause analysis on defects to ensure closed-loop problem resolution.
• Enforce Indonesian safety regulations to achieve Zero Accident targets and ensure environmental waste compliance.
• Foster positive cross-cultural teamwork and adhere to information security policies.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical fields

3–5 years of on-site field engineering, process support, or production line technical management experience in manufacturing

Advanced English and Advanced Chinese language proficiency

Proficiency in jig/fixture design, line balancing, trial assembly management, and SOP drafting

Knowledge of Kaizen/lean manufacturing tools and shopfloor EHS practices
