Job summary

PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Material Planning Assistant Manager to lead the finished goods and WIP planning operations on site. You will direct a team, coordinate cross-functional forecasting, and ensure inventory targets and service levels are met.

The role requires strong leadership, a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and at least six years in material/manufacturing with supervision, plus the ability to analyze data and present

Responsibilities

• Directs the team in the daily execution of finished goods and WIP planning.
• Manages, coaches and mentors a team, driving continuous development and performance.
• Directs activities of Planners to ensure inventory level and turn goals are achieved, including reduction of back orders and enhancing customer service.
• Meets with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast; works with team to modify the forecast and maintain accuracy.
• Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan.
• Review issues and make recommendations on long-term constraints, service levels, inventory targets, forecast, and backlog.

What a typical day looks like:

Directs the team in the use of best practices in the daily execution of finished goods and WIP planning

Manages, coaches and mentors a team. Works with the team on continuous development and performance management.

Directs activities of Planners to ensure that inventory level and turn goals are achieved, including reduction of back orders and enhancing customer service.

Meets with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast. Works with team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events. Works closely with different departments to accurately develop and maintain an accurate forecast.

Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan

Review issues and make recommendations that deal with long-term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, the current forecast, and backlog.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision.

Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.

Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professionals journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
