Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a detail-oriented Material Controller to join our East Kalimantan operations in Indonesia. You will manage material flow, inventories, and procurement processes to support supply chain efficiency, working with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams.

You will coordinate material planning, process purchase orders, maintain stock records, audit inventories, and optimize storage and lead times while ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in material coordination or supply chain operations.
• Strong proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material planning and inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Process purchase orders, requisitions, and material requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain detailed records of material movements, inventory counts, and warehouse transactions using warehouse management systems.
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and negotiate lead times.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records and identify discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain material storage areas to optimize space utilization and ensure easy accessibility.
• Monitor material consumption patterns and provide reports to support demand forecasting and planning.
• Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper documentation and handling of materials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization within material coordination functions.
• Support compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and inventory control procedures.
