About REFA

REFA Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian manufacturer of industrial and specialty chemicals, including:

• Industrial metal cleaning and degreasing chemicals
• Metal surface preparation and pretreatment chemicals
• Metal finishing and surface treatment chemicals
• Cutting and metalworking fluids
• Rust removers and corrosion preventives
• Industrial cleaning and water treatment chemicals

We serve automotive component manufacturers, engineering industries, metalworking companies, and other industrial sectors.

As part of our international expansion, we are seeking an Indonesia-based Market Development Consultant to establish our distribution network and develop industrial customers across Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

1. Distributor Development (First 30 Days)

• Identify, evaluate, and appoint established non-exclusive industrial chemical distributors in agreed Indonesian industrial hubs.
• Prioritize distributors with existing relationships among automotive component manufacturers, metalworking companies, and engineering industries.
• Ensure appointed distributors can import REFA products from India, maintain local stock, and supply industrial customers, directly or through an agreed importing arrangement.
• Develop distributor-led sales and market-development plans.

2. Industrial Customer Acquisition (90 Days)

• Generate qualified leads and develop new industrial customers.
• Coordinate customer meetings, product demonstrations, sampling, and technical trials.
• Support commercial negotiations, quotations, and order conversions.
• Acquire at least five new paying industrial end customers within the project period.
• Provide weekly updates on distributor development, customer enquiries, trials, and commercial progress.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in industrial B2B sales, business development, or distributor management in Indonesia.
• Strong preference for candidates experienced in industrial cleaning chemicals, metal treatment chemicals, metalworking fluids, or related industrial products.
• Existing relationships with industrial chemical distributors and manufacturing companies.
• Good understanding of Indonesia's major industrial hubs, particularly Jakarta, Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang, and Tangerang.
• Ability to work independently and deliver measurable commercial results.
• Bahasa Indonesia proficiency required; basic working English preferred.

Payments are linked to agreed milestones and successful completion of the corresponding deliverables.

Distributor appointments must be approved by REFA. Customer acquisition payments apply to qualifying new industrial end customers whose initial commercial orders have been completed and paid.
