Job summary

Marine Power System Indonesia (MPSI) is expanding its commercial team across Indonesia. The Sales Engineer will develop new business opportunities and manage relationships with shipyards, shipowners, vessel operators, and marine companies in the propulsion and marine equipment sector.

The role requires a technical or engineering background, 2+ years in sales or business development, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel for regular client visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum SMA/SMK/Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/engineering background preferred; Bachelor's degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
• 2+ years of Sales / Business Development experience.
• Experience selling to shipyards, shipowners, vessel operators, or marine companies is highly preferred.
• Existing network within the marine and shipbuilding industry is a strong advantage.
• Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willing to travel for regular customer visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities with shipyards, shipowners, vessel operators, and marine companies
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new customers
• Conduct regular customer visits and identify upcoming projects and market opportunities
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical and commercial solutions
• Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals, and commercial negotiations through order confirmation
• Develop and manage both existing accounts and self-developed customers
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular project updates
• Coordinate closely with technical and management teams to support customers and projects
