Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mandarin, Chinese Language, Translation, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• At least 2 years of Mandarin translation or interpretation experience in engineering, energy, power generation, or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Mandarin–Indonesian interpretation during project meetings, technical discussions, maintenance activities, repair work, and daily operations.
• Translate technical documents, engineering specifications, maintenance procedures, repair reports, meeting minutes, and other business documents accurately.
• Develop and maintain a glossary of technical terminology related to power generation, mechanical and electrical engineering, and plant maintenance.
• Assist with cross-cultural communication to ensure effective collaboration and minimize misunderstandings between project teams.
• Perform other translation and interpretation duties as required by the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Mandarin–Indonesian and Indonesian–Mandarin interpretation during project meetings, technical discussions, maintenance activities, repair work, and daily operations.
• Translate technical documents, engineering specifications, maintenance procedures, repair reports, meeting minutes, and other business documents accurately.
• Facilitate communication between Chinese and Indonesian personnel.
• Support coordination and communication during plant maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repair, and related engineering activities.
• Develop and maintain a glossary of technical terminology related to power generation, mechanical and electrical engineering, and plant maintenance.
• Assist with cross-cultural communication to ensure effective collaboration and minimize misunderstandings between project teams.
• Perform other translation and interpretation duties as required by the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mandarin, Chinese Language, Translation, Engineering, or a related field. Exceptional candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• At least 2 years of experience in Mandarin translation or interpretation, preferably in engineering, energy, power generation, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with technical terminology related to power plants, mechanical and electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to accurately translate technical documents and communicate complex technical information between Chinese and Indonesian teams.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
