Job summary

PT. Horizon Construction Indonesia seeks a Mandarin Translator/Interpreter to join onsite in Kalimantan Selatan. The role focuses on accurate Mandarin-Indonesian/English translation for meetings, site activities, and daily operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, fluency in Mandarin and Indonesian, and a degree in Mandarin/Translation. Travel to project sites will be required, with confidentiality and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• Mandarin language degree or related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin and Indonesian, with English proficiency a plus.
• Minimum 1–2 years of translation/interpreter experience.
• Experience in construction, heavy equipment, mining, or industrial sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate verbal and written communication between Mandarin and Indonesian/English.
• Provide interpretation during meetings, site visits, and daily operational activities.
• Translate documents, reports, contracts, emails, and other business-related materials.
• Support communication between Mandarin-speaking management and local employees.
• Ensure accurate translation while maintaining the intended meaning and context.
• Assist management and operational teams with Mandarin-related communication and coordination.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and documents.

Job description

Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mandarin, Chinese Language, Translation, or a related field.

Fluent in Mandarin and Indonesian, both spoken and written.

English proficiency is an advantage.

HSK 5–6 or equivalent Mandarin proficiency is preferred.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Mandarin Translator/Interpreter.

Experience in construction, heavy equipment, mining, or industrial companies is preferred.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willing to travel to project/site locations when required.

Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
