Responsibilities

• Translate documents, emails, contracts, and correspondence between Mandarin and Indonesian.

• Prepare presentations, reports, and marketing materials in Mandarin and Indonesian.

About the role

PT Xinhai Knitting Indonesia is seeking a Mandarin Translator to join our administrative and office support team. This is a full-time position based in Brebes, Central Java. As Mandarin Translator, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between our Indonesian operations and our Chinese-speaking partners, clients, and stakeholders. This position is essential to ensuring seamless business operations and maintaining strong international relationships for our organisation.

What you'll be doing

Translating business documents, emails, contracts, and correspondence from Mandarin Chinese to Indonesian and vice versa with accuracy and clarity

Providing interpretation services during meetings, negotiations, and conference calls with Chinese-speaking business partners and clients

Supporting administrative functions by maintaining translated documents and ensuring proper filing and organisation of multilingual materials

Assisting in the preparation of presentations, reports, and marketing materials in both Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian

Liaising between departments to ensure clear communication and understanding of translated information

Proofreading and editing translated documents to maintain consistency and quality standards

Supporting the scheduling and coordination of meetings that require translation services

Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information

What we're looking for

Fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian, both written and spoken, at a professional business level

Proven experience in translation or interpretation, preferably in a business or manufacturing environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all translation work

Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple translation projects simultaneously

Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds

Knowledge of business terminology and industry-specific vocabulary in both languages

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive corporate information with discretion

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and translation software (desirable)

Certification in translation or interpretation (preferred)
