Job summary

J&T Express is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead gateway construction projects from planning to handover, ensuring quality, MEP compliance, and timely execution according to company standards.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering degree, are fluent in Mandarin, and can coordinate with contractors on site, review drawings, oversee QC, and manage BoQ preparation and schedules. Travel and overtime are required; AutoCAD/SketchUp experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
• Willing to travel and work overtime.
• Proficient in preparing and calculating the BoQ.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp; Enscape is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Gateway construction projects end-to-end from initiation to closure.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure standards and specs are met.
• Coordinate with contractors to monitor progress and address challenges.
• Review MEP drawings to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Ensure MEP installations comply with approved designs and specs.
• Oversee Testing & Commissioning of all MEP installations.
• Supervise on-site activities, ensuring schedule compliance.
• Provide technical solutions for on-site issues.
• Manage project administrative processes during delays.
• Review Renovation & Construction handover documents (BAST) before handover.
