Responsibilities

• Deliver competitive material pricing solutions to support growth and margins as per company objectives.
• Collaborate with global units, program management, finance, and sales to determine pricing strategy.
• Align on trade-offs between proposal cycle-time, precision, and scope with clients to deliver a pricing strategy.
• Project manage supply chain solutions with commodity management and engineering teams to deliver pricing and margin results.
• Prepare pricing solutions for new bids and manage pricing through product lifecycle, including BOMs and cost analyses.
• Provide insights to support negotiations with customers or suppliers.
• Present proposed pricing solutions to key stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and teardowns to assess competitiveness in service requests.
• Drive continuous margin expansion, cycle time improvements, and pricing tactics.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for delivering competitive material pricing solutions to support growth and margins as per company objectives.
• Collaborate with global customer unit, customer, program management, business proposal lead, finance, and/or sales to determine material pricing strategy.
• Align on trade-offs between proposal cycle-time, solution precision, and scope with clients to deliver an agreed to price strategy.
• Project manage supply chain solutions with commodity management, costing teams, and engineering teams to deliver desired pricing and margin solutions.
• Prepares material pricing solutions for new business opportunities (bids) and manages ongoing pricing through the lifecycle of the product (re-pricing) including generation of Bill of Material, cost competitive analysis, and margin recommendations.
• Provide insight and recommendations to support external (customers or suppliers) negotiations.
• Presents proposed solution to key stakeholders.
• Perform take-down trends analysis and modelling to leverage insight in service requests.
• Conduct market research and generate product teardowns to enable competitiveness assessments in service requests.
• Proactively drive continuous improvement in margin expansion, cycle time, pricing competitiveness, pricing tactics, and process efficiency.

Requirements:

• Possesses a Degree in Engineering or a relevant field of study
• At least 8 years of relevant working experience in an EMS or MNC environment
• Relevant experience within the healthcare segment is a bonus, with a strong understanding of industry-specific requirements and practices.
• Experienced in cost analysis, material pricing, and sourcing strategy
• Possesses good supply base knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities such as plastics, cables, connectors, modules, PCBs, etc.
• Proven experience in successful VA/VE proposals
• Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a prerequisite
• Possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to negotiate
• A self-confident individual, able to work independently with minimal supervision
