Job summary

PT Donlim Technology Indonesia invites applications for a Management Trainee in the Injection Department at our Demak facility. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in injection molding operations, production management and quality control, with exposure to all department activities and leadership development.

The program targets emerging engineering talent, offering mentoring, practical training and a pathway into management within a global industrial manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially injection moulding or similar production techniques is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of quality management and production planning; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily injection department operations and production schedules.
• Support QA/QC procedures to ensure product quality.
• Monitor equipment performance and assist preventive maintenance planning.
• Coordinate with production teams to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify improvements and efficiency gains.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new department staff.
• Contribute to health, safety and environmental protocols within the department.
• Communicate objectives between senior management and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects.
• Participate in problem-solving activities addressing production challenges.

About the role

PT Donlim Technology Indonesia is seeking a Management Trainee for the Injection Department to join our growing team in Demak, Central Java. This is a full-time position designed to develop emerging engineering talent within our industrial manufacturing environment. As a Management Trainee, you will work on-site in our Demak facility, where you will gain practical experience in injection moulding operations, production management and quality control. This role offers a structured pathway into management, providing you with exposure to all aspects of the injection department whilst working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily injection department operations and production schedules
• Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure products meet required standards
• Monitor equipment performance and contribute to preventative maintenance planning
• Coordinate with production teams to optimise workflow and reduce downtime
• Collect and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains
• Support the training and onboarding of new department staff
• Assist in the implementation of health, safety and environmental protocols within the injection department
• Liaise between senior management and production teams to communicate objectives and gather feedback
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects
• Participate in problem-solving activities to address production challenges

What we’re looking for

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly injection moulding or similar production techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvements
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with capability to work effectively with teams at all levels
• Basic knowledge of quality management systems and production planning
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Willingness to undertake further professional development and pursue management qualifications
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous
