Job summary

PT Freeport Indonesia Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineer for Management Information System - Network Management to oversee LAN/WAN networking, ensuring maximum availability and security.

The role provides technical assistance to MIS teams and aligns with FCX global network standards across sites. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's or D3 with extensive networking experience, CISCO certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor (S-1) degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, and other related fields with minimum of 3 years' experience in networking.
• D3 in related field with 10 years in networking.
• Cisco Certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of voice and data communication systems and network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the usage of LAN and WAN to ensure availability and health.
• Maintain and operate LAN/WAN to provide services with high up-time.
• Analyze network systems and tools to monitor performance and identify problems.
• Identify and troubleshoot network problems and implement fixes.
• Support and monitor home network devices (ADSL) for optimum performance.
• Produce monthly downtime reports and identify root causes.
• Support voice communication systems across multiple sites for reliability.
• Minimize changes impact on voice/satellite availability via Change Management policies.
• Analyze Voice/Satellite performance using network management techniques.
• Support and monitor Video Conferencing/Telepresence to corporate standards.
• Coordinate trouble shooting with related parties to identify root cause.
• Perform device configuration and maintenance per standards.
• Produce documentation for voice, satellite, and wireless systems.

Perform voice and data network activities for PTFI, providing other team within MIS with technical assistance to ensure maximum availability, reliability and security of PTFI network as part of the global FCX network. To ensure the network performs to a high standard in conjunction with the company's goals.

Job Responsibility:

• Monitor and control the usage of LAN and WAN Network for internal and external to ensure the availability and its healthy condition.
• Maintain and operate the LAN and WAN properly without any trouble to provide the services and highest possible up- time.
• Analyze the available network system and tools to monitor network system and to identify the potential problem.
• Identify and troubleshoot network problem to decide the solution for repairing / fixing the problem.
• Monitor, set up, solve, and troubleshoot company supplied home network devices (ADSL) to ensure optimum performance.
• Make a monthly report on the downtime evaluation to identify the potential problems and solve them immediately.
• Support and monitor voice communication systems operations consisting of diverse networking hardware and software to a corporate standard for performance and reliability across multiple sites.
• Minimize the impact of changes on voice/satellite communication availability through the effective use of Departmental Change Management policies.
• Analyze Voice/Satellite communication performance through the effective use of network management and methodologies and techniques
• Support and monitor Video Conferencing/Telepresence system to a corporate standard for performance and reliability
• Perform trouble shooting in coordination with related parties (Field Foreman, Helpdesk Support etc.) to identify root cause, resolve problems and prevent issues from reoccurring
• Perform device configuration and maintenance tasks in accordance with Department standards
• Produce voice, satellite, and wireless system documentation in accordance with Departmental standard

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor (S-1) degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, and other related fields with minimum of 3 years' experience in networking.
• D3 in related field with 10 years in networking.
