Job summary

PT Hero Intiputra is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to design and oversee preventive maintenance for store refrigeration assets including display chillers, freezers, cold rooms, and rack systems. You will lead the internal technician team, manage budgets, and coordinate with Store Operations.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Refrigeration & AC, at least five years in maintenance with three in a supervisory role, hands‑on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance with at least 3 years in supervisory/managerial role.
• Hands-on refrigeration expertise including multiplex/rack systems and temperature diagnostics.
• Experience managing multiple sites (retail, F&B, cold storage) and vendor management.
• Willingness to travel to stores, including outside Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Design and run the preventive maintenance programme for store refrigeration assets: display chillers, freezer cabinets, cold rooms, rack systems, and condensing units.
• Establish breakdown SOPs and escalation paths with measurable targets for downtime and stock loss.
• Lead refrigeration asset planning: repair, retrofit, or replacement decisions with TCO analysis.
• Manage refrigerant transition planning per environmental regulations and cost implications.
• Drive energy efficiency initiatives with measurable electricity reductions.
• Coordinate with QA and Store Operations on temperature excursions and product disposition.
• Oversee electrical systems and utilities across stores: panels, distribution, lighting, and generators.
• Manage civil and building works including store repairs and renovations.
• Select, contract, and manage technical vendors with SLA definitions and performance reviews.
• Build and control maintenance budgets across operating and capital expenditures.

Job description

This role focuses on designing and managing preventive maintenance programmes for store refrigeration assets, including display chillers, freezer cabinets, cold rooms, rack systems, and condensing units. You will establish breakdown response procedures, lead refrigeration asset planning decisions, and manage refrigerant transition planning in line with environmental regulations. You will also oversee electrical systems and utilities across stores, manage civil and building works, select and manage technical vendors, build and control maintenance budgets, lead and develop the internal technician team, and ensure occupational health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

Design and run the preventive maintenance programme for all store refrigeration assets: display chillers, freezer cabinets, cold rooms, rack systems, and condensing units

Establish breakdown response SOPs and escalation paths, with measurable targets for downtime and fresh/frozen stock loss

Lead refrigeration asset planning: repair, retrofit, or replacement decisions supported by total cost of ownership analysis

Manage refrigerant transition planning in line with prevailing environmental regulations, including technical and cost implications

Drive energy efficiency initiatives with measurable reductions in store electricity consumption

Work with QA and Store Operations on temperature excursion handling and product disposition

Oversee electrical systems and utilities across stores: panels, distribution, lighting, generators, and building services

Manage civil and building works including store repairs, renovations, and structural upkeep

Select, contract, and manage technical vendors, including SLA definition and performance review

Build and control the maintenance budget across both operating and capital expenditure

About you

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. A diploma with equivalent hands-on experience will be considered

Minimum 5 years in maintenance, with at least 3 years at supervisory or managerial level

Current, hands-on commercial refrigeration expertise — multiplex and rack systems, defrost cycles, expansion valves, superheat, and temperature fault diagnosis

Experience managing multiple sites simultaneously — retail, F&B chains, cold storage, or refrigeration contracting

Working knowledge of refrigerants and the technical and commercial implications of transitioning between them

Proven vendor management and maintenance budget control

Willingness to travel to stores, including outside Jakarta

Lead and develop the internal technician team; coordinate closely with Store Operations

Ensure occupational health and safety compliance and technical licensing across all installations

Report to management on downtime, maintenance cost, energy consumption, and asset condition
