Job summary

Langham Jakarta is seeking a Sommelier to join its luxury dining team. The ideal candidate holds WSET Level 2 or higher and has at least two years’ experience in a luxury hotel setting, preferably with a wine focus.

You should have strong English, deep knowledge of Old World and New World wines, and a passion for natural wines, with experience in wine administration, inventory management, and stock keeping across multiple software.

Qualifications

• WSET Level 2 certification or higher is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury hospitality hotel, preferably wine-focused.
• Intermediate English proficiency with strong guest engagement.
• Excellent knowledge of Old World and New World wines and a passion for natural wines.
• Experience with wine administration, inventory management, and record-keeping across multiple software platforms.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities for outlet managers and teams.
• Solid understanding of wine service standards and wine list curation in a luxury setting.
• Awareness of wine profitability, stock control, and guest satisfaction.
