Job summary

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Bali, Indonesia, seeks a Beverage Manager to oversee beverage operations across our restaurants, bars, lounges, and banquets. You will drive menu development, cost control, inventory, and staff leadership to uphold Sofitel's luxury standards and guest satisfaction.

You will lead a team, train on mixology and service etiquette, manage budgets and forecasts, and partner with Marketing to create events that elevate our beverage program and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of managerial experience in beverage operations within a luxury hotel or premium lifestyle venue.
• Extensive knowledge of international wines, spirits, cocktails, and emerging non-alcoholic beverage trends.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily beverage operations across all restaurants, bars, lounges, and banquet functions, ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence.
• Develop and implement beverage menus, including signature cocktails, wine lists, and seasonal promotions, in accordance with Sofitel brand standards and guest preferences.
• Ensure the consistency, quality, and presentation of all beverages served across the property.
• Monitor beverage service standards and guest satisfaction, implementing improvements where necessary.
• Ensure proper health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including HACCP standards and applicable local requirements.
• Ensure proper bar setup, equipment maintenance, stock management, and cleanliness to maintain operational readiness at all times.
• Manage beverage costs through effective inventory control, purchasing, portion management, and waste reduction.
• Analyze beverage sales reports and financial performance to identify opportunities for revenue growth and improved profitability.
• Prepare and monitor beverage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate beverage and bar teams to deliver exceptional service in line with Sofitel's luxury standards.
• Conduct regular training sessions on mixology, wine knowledge, beverage presentation, service etiquette, and upselling techniques.
• Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and support individual development and career progression.
• Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Engage personally with guests to gather feedback, ensure satisfaction, and build lasting guest loyalty.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring timely follow-up and effective service recovery.
• Anticipate guest preferences and emerging beverage trends to create personalized and memorable beverage experiences.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop beverage-related events, promotions, and brand partnerships.
• Develop and implement initiatives to increase beverage sales, strengthen market positioning, and improve outlet performance.
• Support the creation of distinctive beverage experiences that differentiate the resort and reinforce its luxury brand identity.
