Job summary

Akulaku Group is seeking a bilingual Localization Specialist to translate and localize interface and marketing content across Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, and English for front-end and back-end platforms.

You will collaborate with R&D, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure linguistic quality, maintain glossaries, and manage translation memories using CAT tools, while adhering to brand standards and UX writing principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chinese language, linguistics, translation, communication or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of localization, translation, project management, or related experience (fresh graduates welcome).
• Proficient in Mandarin and English, spoken and written (HSK 5+ preferred).
• Hands-on experience with CAT/localization tools such as Trados, Phrase, Crowdin, Smartcat.
• Strong understanding of localization workflows, terminology management, QA, and UX writing principles.

Job description

• Support in localization of interface and marketing content into Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, and English across front-end platforms (ads, SMS, pop-ups, etc.) and back-end systems (back-office tools, etc.).
• Translate and localize business and product documents, including pitch decks, product proposals, user research, SOPs, regulatory (OJK) documents, SaaS manuals, and UX/UI content.
• Act as liaison between Chinese stakeholders and local clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and user behavior to enhance content quality.
• Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to conduct usability testing, identify issues (errors, inconsistencies, and typos), and ensure content follows brand standards.
• Review, proofread, and edit translations to maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and quality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in localization, translation, project management, or a related role (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Proficient in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written (HSK Level 5 or above is preferred).
• Hands-on experience with CAT or localization tools such as Trados, Phrase, Crowdin, Smartcat, or similar platforms, including experience managing translation memories, glossaries, and localization assets.
• Strong understanding of localization workflows, terminology management, linguistic quality assurance, and UI/UX writing principles, with excellent project coordination and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
