Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Mining Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in mining licensing or regulatory affairs.
• Strong knowledge of OSS, Minerba One, and licensing processes.
• Experience dealing with government authorities (ESDM, Ministry of Transportation).
• Fluent English and excellent communication and coordination skills.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced License Expert to join our legal team in West Jakarta full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role within our corporate and commercial law practice. As a License Expert, you will be responsible for providing specialized expertise in licensing matters, regulatory compliance, and permitting requirements for our clients and internal operations. This role is integral to ensuring that our clients and organization maintain full compliance with all applicable licensing regulations and statutory requirements, thereby safeguarding business operations and minimizing legal risk.

Advising clients and internal stakeholders on licensing requirements, regulatory compliance, and permitting obligations across various industries and business sectors

Manage and process mining-related licenses and permits, including IUP, IUJP, IPP, and other relevant permits.

Manage licensing requirements for infrastructure and transportation-related projects, including dredging, ports, and other supporting activities.

Liaise and coordinate directly with government authorities, particularly ESDM, Ministry of Transportation, and other relevant agencies.

Coordinate with external consultants, notaries, and other relevant parties regarding licensing matters.

Monitor regulatory developments and identify licensing requirements for existing and new business projects.

Maintain and monitor licensing status, validity, renewal deadlines, and compliance obligations.

Prepare, review, and verify licensing documents and supporting legal documentation.

Provide regular updates and reports on licensing progress, outstanding issues, and potential risks.

Candidate skills and certificate requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Mining Engineering, or other relevant fields. Legal background is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mining licensing, regulatory affairs, or government relations, preferably in mining or infrastructure companies.

Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining and infrastructure regulations, including licensing processes through OSS, Minerba One, and other relevant government systems.

Proven experience in dealing directly with government authorities, particularly the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ministry of Transportation, and other relevant agencies.

Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills, with established professional relationships with relevant government authorities and external stakeholders being an advantage.

Ability to independently manage multiple licensing processes, identify regulatory requirements, resolve licensing issues, and work under tight project deadlines.
