RevoU in Indonesia is seeking a Learning Design Lead to own the learning design of our programs, from outline to live launch, and to continuously improve based on learner data and job market changes. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and senior practitioners to turn expert knowledge into structured learning, build AI-enabled workflows, and lead a small team of learning designers.

About the Role

RevoU is one of the most recognizable brands in career education in Indonesia, with one of the largest learning audiences and co-branded programs with top universities. We also partner with leading enterprises across Indonesia to drive AI transformation and enablement across their workforces.

We think learning design will change more in the next few years than it has in decades, and we want RevoU to be one of the places that shows how it can change for the better, for the students in our programs.

We are hiring a Learning Design Lead to push this forward. You will own the learning design of our programs, from the first outline of a new one, which you build side by side with the team that launches our programs, to how every live program keeps improving after launch, based on what our learners need and how jobs are evolving. AI runs through how we work here, from researching a field to structuring what experts tell us, reading learner data and checking the result, and you will push that further every month.

On pace: we move faster than most education companies, edtechs included, and we are still speeding up. You will own real outcomes in your first month, often without a complete brief, and we expect you to push us faster. If you are looking for a large team with a long and stable production process, this is not the right role for you.

What you will own:

• Designing new programs with the team that launches them, from the first outline to the day they go live.

• Reviewing every live program after each cohort and deciding what changes, based on how learners performed and what they told us.

• Working closely with subject matter experts and senior practitioners, and turning what they know into structured learning.

• Keeping our programs current with the job market, especially as AI changes what each role needs.

• Leading and growing a small team of learning designers.

• Building and improving the workflows and AI tools your team uses, so a small team can cover a lot of ground.

Please note: this is a hybrid role, that requires WFO from our Jakarta office.

Requirements

Must-haves:

• You want to build something special. You want to transform how learners learn in the age of AI, and to establish yourself as one of the leading learning design experts in Indonesia.

• You can turn expertise into learning. You're at ease with senior professionals and you know how to turn what an expert knows into something a learner can follow and apply.

• You understand how people learn, and can show us something you designed that taught people (a course, a workshop, a training or an onboarding flow) and explain why it worked.

• You design for very different learners. A fresh graduate and a career-switcher in their mid-thirties need different things, and you know how to build for both.

• Evidence decides what you fix. You look at how learners performed and what they said before changing anything, and you know what you'd measure first.

• AI is already how you work. You build workflows and reusable setups, and you have a good sense of where AI helps and where it gets in the way. "I'm excited about AI" is not enough.

• You hold a high bar. "Good enough" bothers you, and you can name something you shipped that you weren't happy with and what you changed afterwards.

• You reach for a system before more headcount, and you like building it yourself.

• You pick up the unglamorous work that nobody owns because it needs doing, and you can point to something you fixed that nobody asked you to fix.

• High agency and fast. You find the problem and move on it without waiting for a complete brief, and following how AI is changing work is part of your daily routine.

Nice to have:

• Experience as a learning or instructional designer is a real plus, especially if the way you work has changed a lot in the last year or two.

• Experience in edtech, university programs, bootcamps or corporate L&D, or as a teacher.

• You've led or coached people before, and you want to build and grow a team of your own.
