Job summary

JAPFA Food in Indonesia is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement across seafood processing operations, applying Lean principles to boost productivity, yield, cost efficiency, quality, and standardization.

The role requires at least five years in Lean and strong analytical skills, with the ability to train teams on lean tools. English is required, Mandarin a plus; position is on-site in Cirebon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering; at least five years in Lean Manufacturing or CI.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and CI methodologies.
• Experience in manufacturing or seafood processing is an advantage.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work on the production floor and with data.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance production efficiency and material yield.
• Identify and eliminate waste across processing lines using Lean tools.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and workflow optimization.
• Analyze production and operational data to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Support standardized work procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to sustain improvements.
• Monitor and report Lean KPIs including OEE, productivity, yield, and downtime.
• Provide training and coaching to operations teams on Lean tools.
• Participate in cost reduction and productivity programs aligned with business objectives.
