Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a Construction Manager - Utilities to lead utilities infrastructure projects within industrial estate developments. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.

The role requires a strong background in civil/MEP systems, 8+ years in utilities or construction PM, and a commitment to safety and quality. Heavy coordination with engineering, QA/QC, and external providers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years in utilities, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or construction PM.
• PM or leadership experience in large-scale projects (≥500 ha).
• Strong knowledge of utility systems, construction methods, scheduling, and contractor mgmt.
• Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder mgmt skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise utilities construction projects from initiation through completion.
• Oversee construction and installation of water supply, wastewater, electrical, and utility networks.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources, contractors, and construction activities.
• Review drawings, specs, BOQs, contracts, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, consultants, and utility providers for proper execution.
• Monitor progress, testing, commissioning, and handover of utility systems.
• Identify and resolve technical, coordination, and site-related issues affecting quality, cost or schedule.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety, environmental, and company requirements.
• Implement QC and risk management procedures and prepare progress reports.
