JAC Recruitment is seeking a Construction Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects within industrial estate developments from initiation to completion. You will oversee delivery, budgets, schedules, and compliance to ensure safe, efficient works.
The role requires 8+ years in infrastructure or civil construction, including 4+ years in a managerial capacity, and a strong background in industrial estate projects, road and drainage works.
The Construction Manager role leads civil infrastructure projects within industrial estate developments from initiation through to completion. The position oversees project delivery, contractor performance, construction quality, budgets, schedules, and compliance to ensure infrastructure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise infrastructure construction projects within industrial estate developments from initiation through to completion
Oversee the construction of roads, drainage systems, bridges, earthworks, retaining structures, and other civil infrastructure
Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, contractors, and construction activities to support timely and cost-effective project delivery
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, contracts, and other technical documents
Coordinate with civil and structural engineers, consultants, Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications
Monitor site progress, construction quality, work methods, and resource utilisation
Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues, including potential delays, constructability concerns, and project risks
Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company standards
Implement quality control and risk management procedures and prepare regular project progress reports for management
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure or civil construction, including at least 4 years in a managerial role
Demonstrated experience in industrial estate, infrastructure, road, drainage, earthwork, or other large-scale civil projects covering at least 500 hectares
Strong understanding of civil construction methods, infrastructure engineering, project scheduling, and cost control
Strong ability to manage contractors and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Proficiency in construction management administration and project documentation
High level of integrity and a strong commitment to safety and quality
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
PMP or another relevant professional certification is preferred
