As a Lead Tutor, you will work with children from toddler to elementary school age, leading learning activities and helping create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children to learn and grow. This role is not only about teaching. You will also become a quality reference and role model for other tutors in delivering great learning experiences.
Lead and deliver learning sessions for children from toddler to elementary school age.
Create a warm, safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Adapt teaching approaches according to children's different ages, developmental stages, and individual needs.
Apply appropriate learning activities that support children's cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor development.
Observe children's behavior and development and communicate relevant observations with the team.
Work closely with other tutors and tutor assistants to ensure smooth and effective learning sessions.
Support and guide other tutors in maintaining the quality and consistency of learning experiences.
Help identify effective teaching practices and share them with the team.
Participate in lesson preparation, evaluation, and improvement of learning activities.
Communicate professionally with parents when required.
Experience as a teacher, kindergarten teacher, early childhood educator, or tutor.
Experience working with children from toddler to elementary school age is highly preferred.
Strong English proficiency, both spoken and written, with the ability to teach children confidently in English.
Good understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning.
Patient, warm, attentive, and able to respond appropriately to children's different personalities and needs.
Comfortable managing and engaging young children in a classroom environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Creative and willing to explore different ways of making learning engaging.
Able to take responsibility and become a positive example for other tutors.
A degree or formal background in Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field is a plus.
Genuinely loves working with children.
Enjoys spending time with children and is naturally comfortable around them.
Sees children's behavior as part of their learning and development, rather than simply as something to control.
Is patient and able to stay calm when children are struggling, distracted, emotional, or not yet ready to participate.
Is curious about how children learn and develop.
Enjoys learning, receiving feedback, and continuously improving their teaching practice.
Can create an environment where children feel safe, seen, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Is willing to grow not only as a teacher, but also as a leader and mentor for other tutors.
