Job summary

PT Marcopolo Shipyard in Batam seeks an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to lead scaffolding operations on vessels and shipyard facilities. You will ensure safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding, enforce HSE standards, and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in scaffolding, 2+ years supervising in shipyard or oil & gas, and a valid Scaffolding Supervisor Certificate.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of scaffolding experience, with at least 2 years as a Supervisor in Shipyard or Oil & Gas.
• Valid Scaffolding Supervisor Certificate (Kemnaker/BNSP); CISRS is a plus.
• Experience with Tube & Coupler and Modular/Ringlock scaffolding systems, including basic load calculations.
• Computer literate, especially MS Word and Excel.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding for vessels and shipyard facilities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, lead daily Toolbox Meetings, and maintain PPE compliance.
• Inspect completed scaffolding and issue Scaff-Tags (Green/Red) to certify safety and fitness for use.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines.
• Resolve technical issues related to load capacity and scaffolding design, especially in confined or high-altitude areas.
