Job summary

PT Marcopolo Shipyard in Batam seeks an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to lead scaffolding operations on vessels and shipyard facilities. You will ensure safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding, enforce HSE standards, and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in scaffolding, 2+ years supervising in shipyard or oil & gas, and a valid Scaffolding Supervisor Certificate.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of scaffolding experience, with at least 2 years as a Supervisor in Shipyard or Oil & Gas.
• Valid Scaffolding Supervisor Certificate (Kemnaker/BNSP); CISRS is a plus.
• Experience with Tube & Coupler and Modular/Ringlock scaffolding systems, including basic load calculations.
• Computer literate, especially MS Word and Excel.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Job description

PT Marcopolo Shipyard is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Scaffolding Supervisor to lead and oversee our scaffolding operations in Batam. In this role, you will ensure all scaffolding structures are erected, modified, and dismantled safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with maritime and HSE standards.

What you'll be doing (Job Description):

Supervise installation, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding for vessels and shipyard facilities.

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, lead daily Toolbox Meetings, and maintain 100% PPE compliance.

Inspect completed scaffolding and issue Scaff-Tags (Green/Red) to certify safety and fitness for use.

Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines.

Resolve technical issues related to load capacity and scaffolding design, especially in confined or high-altitude areas.

What we’re looking for (Qualifications):

Minimum High School (SMA/SMK) or Diploma (D3) in Engineering.

3-5 years of scaffolding experience, with at least 2 years as a Supervisor in Shipyard or Oil & Gas.

Valid Scaffolding Supervisor Certificate (Kemnaker/BNSP); CISRS is a plus.
